Spring is the time of year when there is a sudden surge of activity!

The grass needs its first cut as the weeds spring up in the garden. The sun shines, those tennis rackets suddenly look inviting, The Masters inspires the reluctant winter golfer.

Outside, backs are being bent and strained, inside at work backs are sitting slouched after the weekends activities!

RESULT= Backache!

Prevention is always better than cure.

Some Tips;
  • Ease into the new found activity.
  • Garden with care. Alternate jobs, half an hour of bending and weeding followed by half an hour of stretching and trimming.
  • Stand up and stretch the back between tasks.
  • Don't play a round of golf one day followed by a day's gardening the next!
  • Do some stretching before the first and after the last hole.
